We have a wide range of products for various budgets so we are confident we will be able to help you work out exactly what your space needs.
Can retractable seating systems be made to fit into my venue?
Yes, each retractable seating system is designed and manufactured to specifically fit your venue. From riser heights to overall width of system and platform depths we can work with to come up with the most user-friendly design.
Do you have different styles of retractable seating units?
Yes we offer different systems depending on your venues requirements. We have a system specifically designed for performing arts and education venues and a second system more suited to sporting environments.
Can our floor handle a retractable seating unit?
This is a very important question. Especially during a refurbishment, its important the floor strength is checked. We can supply engineered floor loading diagrams to show you what the point loads and rolling loads of our seating system will be.
Are your aisle lighting solutions BCA compliant?
100% yes! In 2015 we were having trouble finding stair nosing’s with integrated LED aisle lighting that were BCA compliant to AS 1428.1. This is what drove us to design and develop our own Maxwood branded LED aisle lighting products. Our lighting products are supported by several of Australia’s leading Access Consultants Australia for this very reason.
Do your theatre chairs have acoustic testing?
Yes, our theatre chairs are used in some of New Zealan & Australia’s top theatres and performing arts centres therefore require acoustic testing.
Are your products Compliant to NZBC standards?
Yes, we pride ourselves on only supplying fully compliant products and designs.
This includes (but not limited to) ASNZ 1530.3 Fire Safety, ASNZ4585 Slip rating, ASNZ1428.1 Access and Egress, ASNZ1170 Structural Engineering and H1.7 Aisle Lighting, BS12727 Strength.

Can we visit your past installs?
Yes, we encourage it. We have over 100 installations across Australia so there is a good chance we have one near you. Whilst it’s great to see a new install, we really encourage people to visit some of our older installations. We have seating systems over 25 years old still in perfect working order. That is really what you are paying for with our products, affordable life cycle costs that provide the best long-term return on investment. We don’t aim to be the cheapest, but we are confident we offer the best value for money.

Can you supply CAD drawings?
Yes, this is an important part of the design stage. We also offer 3D renders so you choose colours and finishes and see what it will look like in your venue.
Do you have samples?
Yes, we have samples not only of our chairs and flooring systems but also all our finish options such as fabrics and timber species.
